We gave you a rundown of what was said and explained the tournament format. GLORY released a video of the press conference today though, and it goes into even more detail about the Grand Slam tournament format and how the fighters will be matched up. Speakers featured are Pierre Andurand and Marcus Luer of GLORY, as well as Semmy Schilt, Peter Aerts and Remy Bonjasky.

Saenchai and Singdam Kiatmoo9 met yesterday at Lumpinee Stadium for Singdam's Lumpinee Lightweight Title. Both fighters were in as good a form as they've ever been leading up to this fight. This fight was pretty much number one vs. number two. It turned out to be a very strategic fight. If you want the result, we posted them here. Either way, sit back and watch the fight.

On Saturday, September 2 in The Hague, Netherlands, Nieky Holzken and L'houcine "Aussie" Ouzgni met in a rematch at Muay Thai Mania V. The first time they fought, Aussie won via KO from a flying knee in the first round. Holzken has wanted that loss back ever since it happened and on Saturday he had the chance to avenge it. This fight was much more competitive than the first one. We'll let you watch and see for yourself but if you want the results beforehand, click here. Otherwise, check out the video.

This week is a week which you should be prepared for some Kickboxing action, as K-1 will return to the US for the first time in a long time with the K-1 World Grand Prix in Los Angeles event, going down this Saturday at the LA Sports Arena. The event will feature some new up-and-comers as well as some of the American legends like Rick Roufus, Mighty Mo and Dewey Cooper. So, while you are waiting for that, watch AXS TV's Fight of the Week from this week, which so happens to be Daniel Ghita's brutal knockout of Brian Douwes from It's Showtime 56. Sure, Daniel Ghita isn't fighting this weekend, but there is a chance that one of the guys this weekend will step into the ring against him, so time to measure up the competition.

Buakaw returned to the ring today in Leicester, England in the first fight since his debacle that included his "retirement," legal battles with Por Pramuk and was just a huge mess in general. Finally though, Buakaw is free of all that and today he took on Abdoul Toure of France at Thai Fight. In short, Buakaw is back. Check out the video of his fight.

Yesterday, as you probably know, it was announced that It's Showtime was acquired by GLORY and that GLORY became the definite number one kickboxing organization in the world. Simon Rutz gave a speech about the acquisition, detailing everything that's gone on over the years and how now everything will change, and it's true as this changes the global kickboxing landscape forever. Golden Glory TV was at the scene and got some footage from the brains and the men with the money behind GLORY, like Pierre Andurand. Bas Boon, Pierre Andurand and others in on the deal talk about what this means with GLORY now being the number one kickboxing organization in the world. Pierre Andurand even brings out his inner fan of the sport, saying he'd like to see fights like Tyrone Spong vs. Gokhan Saki. Check out the video.

It is impossible not to respect John Wayne Parr and the career that he has had. We, as fans fully support his decision to retire from fighting and understand that injuries catch up and after a while your body stops doing what it used to do. Hell, JWP told us after the fight that he broke his finger again, the same one as before that left him sidelined, in the first punch of the fight. That being said, he put up footage from the fourth round of his retirement fight, and I'll be damned if he looked slow or like he had a broken anything.

If you have a Twitter account, go ahead and send some well wishes to @JohnWayneParr

GLORY have been putting together some nice videos from their "First 16" event that took place on May 26 in Stockholm, Sweden. It was an awesome show and every single fight was good. We saw the likes of Giorgio Petrosyan, Semmy Schilt, Errol Zimmerman, Gokhan Saki, Robin van Roosmalen and many more take to the ring. GLORY have put together a short documentary on the event and now the second part is up on Youtube so check it out. The first part can be watched here.

Saenchai had a huge, dominating win over Penek Sitnumnoi at Lumpinee Stadium on June 8. He wasn't going to rest though, as just six days later on June 14 in France, he took on Mehdi Zatout at 65kg. That's crazy considering his fight on June 8, he fought at just about 58kg. That means he jumped 8kg, or 17.6lbs in weight.

Facing way bigger fighters is nothing new to Saenchai as he's done it numerous times, and he still continues to win them all, aside from a robbery loss to Fabio Pinca in January. His fight against Mehdi Zatout was more of the same, with Saenchai beating a solid, much larger fighter.

Sure, Joe Schilling was supposed to step in for Simon Marcus to fight Artem Levin this weekend. It seems like anyone fighting Levin this weekend was just doomed from the start, but that is alright because Levin will be fighting again soon and hopefully will be challenged from someone on North America at some point soon just to end the "what ifs." Anyway. Here is the video from Joe Schilling's fight for all of you people out there that believe that you cannot stop crazy.

If you were looking to see the Superfight from Thailand from last night of Saenchai vs. Penaek, you were probably out of luck. There has been a lot of talk about this fight so far, and now via the magic of the internet you can watch it (albeit via questionable quality, but hey). So go ahead and sit back and watch a master at work.

The guys over at www.staredown.nl were over at K-1 in Madrid, Spain this past weekend and were nice enough to share this video of Badr Hari shadowboxing backstage to prepare for his fight. Badr defeated Anderson "Braddock" Silva by unanimous decision in a fight where he dominated the first round, dropping Silva, but then tired after. Silva took the second round the and third was close but Badr just looked like he wasn't in top shape for this fight. Interestingly enough, Badr's shadowboxing was just that, all boxing. Check out the video, and thanks to staredown.nl. Add a comment

SLAMM!! held their first "Holland vs. Thailand" event in a long time on Sunday in Almere, Holland and the fight that everyone was excited about was K-1 and It's Showtime veteran Mohamed Khamal fighting Saiyok Pumpanmuang under Muay Thai rules. The event wasn't televised anywhere but a video did finally come out today, showcasing Khamal's win via cut stoppage. Sadly, Khamal retired after the fight, saying he had "more important things" to focus on. A win over Saiyok is a good one to go out on. Check out the video.
