It's Showtime has an event coming up on November 10 in Sao Paulo, Brazil and they've been running qualification tournaments at Brazillian promotion, WGP events throughout the past few months. Already, four fighters have qualified for It's Showtime Brazil on November 10 by winning tournaments, and there's still one more tournament left.
We've learned of a fifth Brazillian fighter that will participate at It's Showtime Brazil, and it's Thiago Michel, who will be the Brazillian representative at 73kg. Michel is a veteran of Bellator in MMA, where he went 1-1, and participated in one of their lightweight tournaments. Aside from that, Michel was a kickboxer before he ever went to MMA and after his last loss in Bellator, he's been doing quite a bit of kickboxing back in Brazil, racking up a few wins.
Originally Michel's spot was supposed to be fought for on WGP's October 20 event in Belo Horizonte, but It's Showtime requested instead that Michel just outright be the Brazillian representative at 73kg.
There will still be one more It's Showtime Brazil qualification tournament, at 66kg and it'll take place at the Brazillian Kickboxing Federation's "Copa Brasil" from October 12-14. The match-ups for that are Kainan Kurschewsky vs. Paulo Sergio Freitas and Rodrigo Amatha vs. Maycon Oller da Silva. [source]
