Bogdan Stoica recently was in a motorcycle accident that has sidelined his career and hospitalized him. Yesterday we posted about him being realeased from the hospital, and today he spoke on what has happened.

Doctors were amazed that Stoica's injuries were not life-threatening, saying that they would've been for a normal person. Stoica spoke on how lucky he was:

"After two hours I get up and walk for a few minutes around the house. I can say however that I was born for the second time. Doctors told me I had great luck. If I was not an athlete right now my life would be over. They even were surprised when they saw how strong the conditions were in which I hit the back of that car."

Recovery can take up to six months. SuperKombat's last event of the year is on December 8, but both Stoica and SuperKombat will take to his recovery carefully and if he is not able to fight by that date, he expects to be on the first SuperKombat event of 2013:

"We have to follow exactly as prescribed, and the recovery will take up to six months. If I don't return to the final Superkombat on December 8, I'm sure the first gala next year I will be in the ring and in the best shape!"

Eduard Irimia also knows that Stoica can't rush back into the ring. As the head of SuperKombat, he knows that Bogdan is one of his top stars and that he should be given as much time as necessary to recovery in order to be in top form once again:

"He's young, probably wants to start training as soon as possible. We will be patient with him and convey that we still rely on him. When he will be 100% fit, he certainly will be on one of the SuperKombat events."

Stoica also made it clear that he would "give up his passion," and never ride a motorcycle again. [source]
