Andy Howson Training Before his defence of the ISKA World Bantamweight title

Andy Howson defends his ISKA World 55 MAX championship at the Leeds Town Hall, Saturday 7th May, against friend and foe Dean James, who holds the #1 rank in Britain. Here is video footage of the likeable Howson preparing for his bout, coached by Bad Company's Richard Smith.

Also featured in the co-main event, Howson's teammate and fellow ISKA world champion Jordan Watson. The youngster - who made headlines last year with his close bout against superstar Buakaw Por.Pramuk, and his subsequent world title win - defended his ISKA strap last month in France, and as such this bout is a non-title affair. He will face the #2 ranked 70kg fighter in Britain in a rematch, Craig Jose, in a fight to determine the top ranked super-welterweight in the country.

As I reported earlier this year, Watson was offered a shot at p4p #1 kickboxer Giorgio Petrosyan, and coupled with his world title win and fight with Buakaw, there is no doubt that should K-1 survive, their MAX division of the 70kg elite will likely be the destination for Jordan's talents.
